Introduction
Due to the forecast rain and bad weather my original plan to walk Gulvain and its neighbours was put on hold and I instead opted for two single Munro’s in Torridon.
The Walk
I started the walk up Slioch from Incheril at 0600hrs. and arrived at the summit at 0815. I followed the WH route up and retraced my steps for the descent. It was quite a warm morning and the forecast rain never appeared. There was some mist around which restricted the views so I didn’t hang about and got back to the car at 1000hrs. I jogged some of this and worked hard on the ascent competing in 4hrs.
Now a drive over to Achnasheen and the walk up Fionn Bheinn. Its pretty straight forward but boggy. The whole mountain is extremely wet and boggy. I ventured further into the bogs on the ascent than was required but skirted around them and headed down the grassy hillside on the descent. Again it never rained and the sun was almost coming through the clouds on occasion. Another two bagged I jogged most of the way down and bagged this in 2hrs 10mins
